Set up for a week, not just a night
A holiday let is judged on the things a hotel room cannot give you: space to unpack, a kitchen you can actually cook in, somewhere to dry wet coats, and a washing machine when the trip runs past a few days.
Our larger homes are set up for families staying a week or more. They are also the properties we recommend when two households are travelling together and want their own bedrooms.
- Two to three bedrooms, sleeping four to six guests
- Full kitchen with oven, hob, fridge and dishwasher in the larger homes
- Washer-dryer or laundry access in every holiday home
- Enclosed garden or balcony on the cottage and the family home
- Parking beside or near each property, noted on the home page
Included with this kind of stay
Space to live
Separate bedrooms, a sitting room and a dining table rather than one combined room.
A real kitchen
Oven, hob, fridge, dishwasher and enough crockery for the number of guests booked.
Laundry
Washer-dryer or laundry access, so a week away does not mean a suitcase of washing at the end.
Outside space
Garden or balcony on the cottage and family home, with outdoor seating where the property has it.
Room for families
Two to three bedrooms, with a twin room that suits children or friends travelling together.
Parking
A space, a permit or unrestricted street parking — checked and stated per property.
Why our holiday homes are furnished for a week
Longer holiday stays need more of everything — storage, seating, crockery, drying space and a kitchen that can handle a proper shop. That is what we furnish for, and it is why guests who stay a week tend to come back.
- Weekly rates on request, usually lower per night than short breaks
- Cots and high chairs available on request at no extra charge
- Enclosed outside space on the homes with gardens
- Mid-stay linen change available for longer bookings

About this type of stay
Are the homes suitable for young children?
Yes, and we will tell you honestly what each property is like with a toddler — stairs, balconies, open water nearby and stair-gate options are all noted when you ask. Cots and high chairs are available on request.
Can we book for a fortnight?
Longer holidays are very welcome. Weekly rates are lower per night than short breaks, and for stays over a week we arrange a mid-stay linen change. Ask us for a quote for the exact dates.
Is linen provided?
Yes. Beds are made up before you arrive and towels are provided for the number of guests booked. If you need extra towels or bedding, tell us in advance rather than buying your own.
Are pets allowed in the holiday homes?
One well-behaved dog is accepted in some homes by prior agreement, subject to a cleaning charge. Mention it when you enquire so we can confirm which properties can take a pet.
Ready to check dates?
Send the home you are interested in together with your arrival and departure dates and we will confirm availability and the rate.
